If you need a place to stay Ranchester Western Motel is a tremendous choice, and the Game Creek Trail is a magnificent hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Barker Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Foothills Motel and Campground is a great location for that, and skiing at Antelope Butte is one of those things you just ought       to do. It is very waterless here at Barker Reservoir ordinarily; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Going for a hike along the Roosevelt Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; while you're here why not go to Cooper Draw. If only every spot had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great world it would be. If you came to camp Tongue River Campground is a nice place                  to do that, and get your heart beating on the delightful whitewater of Tongue River. Bonanza Creek is a delightful location to explore, and Cool Enterprises is a nice site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is brilliant here at Barker Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Wolf Creek Trail. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Cooper Dam, and Antwerp Reservoir is a great lake close by. For the period of the months of summer at Barker Reservoir highs are mostly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's.
