Bard Lake is a lake worth visiting. Man, is there lots of cool stuff to do in the Bighorn Mountains. Bard Lake is typically a reasonably waterless spot; April is the month that gets the most snow, and the driest month of the year is February. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 60's to Bard Lake. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 30's. if you're here at Bard Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Tensleep Creek. You simply must go for the Bighorn Mountains. Antelope Butte has good slopes and a friendly staff, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Solitude Trail.
