If the weather is pleasant here at Baptiste Lake, you can go for a hike along the Hailey Pass Trail, and Mount Hooker is clearly visible from Baptiste Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Baptiste Lake is a location that is relatively arid typically; during May this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is December. This lake is one of the great places here in the Wind       River Range. These mountains rock, just check out all the fun stuff to do in the Wind River Range. Haily Pass is near Baptiste Lake and is undeniably a great site to stop at, and Moraine Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore. You clearly should like Baptiste Lake. On a delightful day at Baptiste Lake you can take a hike along the Bears Ears Trail, and camping at Big Sandy Campground is always a splendid experience. Through the summertime highs here                  at Baptiste Lake get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Through the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Baptiste Lake drop into the 10's. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Wind River Range. Camping is available at Dickinson Creek Campground, and Hooker Glacier is something you shouldn't miss if you're here. This lake is so wonderful.
