There are other locations here than Araster Reservoir, for example Magnolia Lake, and a day on the slopes of Snowy Range is just what you need. This lake is one of the great places       here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Araster Reservoir. Araster Dam is not far at all from Araster Reservoir; not far from Araster Reservoir you'll hit upon Arrastre Lake which is a pretty lake. All through the long summer days, highs frequently are in the 80's at Araster Reservoir; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 30's, and night lows at                  Araster Reservoir through the wintertime typically sink into the 0's. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Good hiking is available along the Lakes Trail, and as expected Arrastre Creek flows through this vicinity. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. North Platte River is a delightful whitewater spot right next door to Araster Reservoir, and there's great hiking along the Circle Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Medicine Bow Trail, and why not camp at Mirror Lake Campground since you're here at Araster Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful.
