     Cody Municipal Dam is a picturesque location in the neighborhood of Alkali Lake, and if you get bored of Alkali Lake you could also visit close by Beck Lake. If you need a location to stay Cody Legacy Inn and Suites is a tremendous choice, and getting to Cottonwood Creek from Alkali Lake is simple. Alkali Lake gets very little rain; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
If you came to camp
 
   Absaroka Bay Recreational Vehicle is a fine site to do that, and Olive-Glenn Golf & Country Club is a golf course nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Cody Koa Kampground is always a fine experience, and there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Shoshone River. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in the neighborhood of Alkali Lake. Cody Municipal Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and Budget Host Inn Cody is a magnificent  
               spot to get some rest.
Through the warm months, highs regularly are in the 80's at Alkali Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Alkali Lake temperatures dip to the 0's.
