Cody Municipal Dam has fine water scenery and it's in the neighborhood of Alkali Lake, and if you need a location to stay Frontier Motel is a brilliant choice. Why not camp at Ponderosa Campground if you're here at Alkali Lake; if you're here you can play some golf at Olive-Glenn       Golf & Country Club. After a long day outdoors Beartooth Inn of Cody is a great location to spend a night or two, and Cottonwood Creek is close to Alkali Lake and is always a delight to go to. Alkali Lake is a location that is relatively dry commonly; May is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is great on Shoshone River, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not pop by                  Beck Lake. Summertime at Alkali Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's.
