This is a good area for folks who like lakes. Scaup Lake is a lake around here, and there is a wonderful hiking trail nearby called the De Lacy Creek Trail. After a long day outdoors Gray Wolf Inn & Suites is a great site to spend a night or two, and whitewater paddling is pleasant on Snake River. There's so much to do here at Lake Alice that you need to camp here for a while, Madison Campground is a splendid site for that;       going for a hike on the Shoshone Lake Trail is always a perfect adventure. At Lake Alice you don’t see much rain; during June this area sees the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous spot to check out near Lake Alice is Norris Pass, and the Mallard Lake Trail is a fine hiking trail nearby. At Lake Alice through the summer months highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's.                  Highs during the wintertime are typically in the 20's; during the dark hours in the winter at Lake Alice temperatures drop to the 0's. And that's not all you can do here at Lake Alice.
