There's great hiking along the Timico Lake Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Boulder Creek offers some good whitewater. At 1000 Island       Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's while 1000 Island Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. The Wind River Range scenery is always beautiful. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things close to 1000 Island Lake.
