Going for a hike on the Laurel Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and Snowshoe is a great local ski area. For the duration       of the warm days of summer at Watoga Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 30's; overnight lows through the wintertime for Watoga Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Get covered with water paddling on Greenbrier River, and close by you find the Buck And Doe Trail which is a great hiking trail. Marlinton Motor                  Inn is a magnificent site to get some rest, and you might also want to pay a visit to Burr Valley since you're here at Watoga Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Glide down the rapids of Anthony Creek in a kayak. But wait, there's more to do close to Watoga Lake. Camping at Watoga Lake is pleasant fun, Day Run Campground is a pleasant local campground, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; The Homestead is pretty near.
