There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Watoga Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Watoga Lake has to offer, you can camp at Watoga State Park; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Bear Pen Run Trail. For the duration of the summertime months at Watoga Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the wintertime       highs are commonly in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Watoga Lake temperatures descend to the 10's. The high level of rainfall makes Watoga Lake a reasonably wet spot; through July this area sees the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Pyle Mountain is a peak you can see from Watoga Lake, and Holiday Inn Express Covington, Virginia is a perfect site to get some rest. If you come at the right time of year,                  Anthony Creek offers some great whitewater; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Lake Sherwood. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody close by loves skiing at Snowshoe, and Watoga Lake is a fine spot to visit for more than one day, HCS Campground is a fine spot to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A spree to Burr Valley is always fun, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Laurel Trail. Lakes? Sure, Lake Sherwood is close at hand, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Greenbrier River.
