Warden Lake is a lake worth visiting. Through the summertime months here at Warden Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Warden Lake are in the 10's. So many enjoyable things to do at Warden Lake, so little time. Take a hike on the Halfmoon Lookout Trail, and Warden Lake Dam is striking. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Woodstock

| | is a great choice; Moores Run Lake Number One is a nearby lake that you could stop by. Warden Lake is a good place of normal rainfall; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Lost River is a brilliant whitewater spot near Warden Lake, and a lake close by is Woodstock Reservoir. Warden Lake is right by the Peer Trail. and why not take a refreshing hike along the Squirrel Gap Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Bryce Resort is just what you need, and if you came to camp Hawk Campground is a tremendous location to do that. In
case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Waites Run; camping at Green Meadows Campground is always a great experience. Lots of people from Winchester come to Warden Lake, and Holiday Inn Express WOODSTOCK-SHENANDOAH VALLEY is a delightful site to get some rest.

Don't be surprised to get chilled if sticking your feet in the water. I fish the reservoir along with the Little Stoney Creek several times during the summer months.
