If you came for an overnight stay Tygart River Camping Area is a splendid site to camp, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Tygart Lake Public Golf Course. Tygart Lake is a wet place that gets a good deal of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July while February is usually the driest month. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. There are       some great whitewater spots on Sandy Creek; if you need a spot to stay Grafton Motel is a great choice. Dry warm beds await you at Crislip Motor Lodge, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Berkeley Run. During the long summer days highs here at Tygart Lake reach the 80's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 60's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Tygart Lake. Camping is available at                  Whisper Mountain Campground, and lots of folks from Fairmont come here.
