Trout Pond is always a pleasure to visit. Man, is there loads of enjoyable things to do near Trout Pond. Glide down the rapids of Cheat River in a kayak, and Holiday Inn Express Morgantown, Wv is a splendid site to get some rest. Summer at Trout Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Trout Pond. This

| | lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Clay Run, and Trout Pond is not the only place close by, Coopers Rock Lake is a close by lake.
You'll meet a lot of people from Morgantown here; Coopers Rock State Forest Dam is a lovely location. If you need a location to stay Lakeview Scanticon Golf Resort Spa & Conference Center is a delightful choice. is a brilliant site for that. Don't leave Trout Pond without first going for a hike along the Mile Trail, and if you came to camp Chestnut Ridge Regional Park and Campground is a great place to do that.
Don't forget to take a
good little trip to Glade Run, and Big Spring is a good local attraction. The amount of rain that falls at Trout Pond is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily July, that's the one that rains the
most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Some great nature is available in Coopers Rock State Forest.
