In West Virginia there are many beautiful lakes, Lake Thomas is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Martinsburg-Days Inn is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two, and camping at Lake Thomas is wonderful fun, McCoys Ferry Campground is a wonderful local campground. There's pleasant hiking along the Snavelys Ford Trail, and a short journey to Kilmer Spring is always worthwhile. During the long summer days at Lake Thomas temperatures

| | are usually in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Lake Thomas plunge into the 10's.
Any time is a brilliant time at Lake Thomas if you love the outdoors. While you're here at Lake Thomas you can play some golf at Stonebridge Golf Club, and if you came for an overnight stay Nahkeeta Campsite is a nice spot to camp. | |

Sleepy Creek - Meadow Branch has a nice whitewater paddling spot close by; a wonderful close by hotel is Holiday Inn Martinsburg, Wv. In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Back Creek,
and Dry Run is right next door to Lake Thomas and is always a pleasure to visit.
At Lake Thomas you always meet someone from Hagerstown-Martinsburg, and the Loudoun Heights Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful.
The amount of rainfall that falls at Lake Thomas is close to the national average; May is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
