After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Martinsburg, Wv is a splendid place to spend a night or two, and do pop by Big Pool, it's a gorgeous lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Martinsburg-Days Inn, and there's brilliant hiking along the Loudoun Heights Trail. Dry Run is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at, and Sleepy Creek - Meadow Branch       is a splendid whitewater spot nearby. Stonebridge Golf Club is a golf course in the vicinity of Lake Thomas, and good hiking is available along the Snavelys Ford Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Back Creek near Lake Thomas; you can stay the night at McCoys Ferry Campground. Nahkeeta Campsite is a nice campground nearby; you'll hit upon a pretty lake called Swan Pond. From a precipitation point of view Lake Thomas is a pretty                  normal place; through May this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff to do are really abundant here at Lake Thomas. At Lake Thomas you always meet someone from Hagerstown-Martinsburg, and a short spree to Kilmer Spring is always worthwhile. Throughout the summer highs here at Lake Thomas reach the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's.
