West Virginia has many beautiful lakes and Terra Alta Lake is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Daugherty Run; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Canaan Valley. Oak Mar Restaurant is a great site to get some rest, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Boundary Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Youghiogheny River offers some good whitewater, and hey, North Branch Snowy Creek is a perfect local stream. Throughout the summer months here at Terra Alta Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Lake are in the 20's. On a nice day at Terra Alta Lake you can take a hike along the Canyon Rim Trail, and wonderful skiing awaits you at Wisp.

be. The Lindy Run Trail is a fine hiking trail close to Terra Alta Lake, and Cannon Hill Campground is a fine campground here. If you need a location to stay Alpine Lake Resort is a brilliant choice, and not far from Terra Alta Lake
you'll discover Alpine Lake which is a picturesque lake. Gillis Spring is a gorgeous location to pop by while you're at Terra Alta Lake.
From a rainfall point of view Terra Alta Lake is a quite common place; July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is February.
