Terra Alta Lake is a lake worth visiting. Some of the water close by flows, like North Branch Snowy Creek, and going for a hike along the Boundary Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Muddy Creek, and a good spot to camp here at Terra Alta Lake is Albright Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Terra Alta Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Swallow Falls State Park is a great local campground,

For the period of the long summer days highs here at Terra Alta Lake reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Terra Alta Lake temperatures descend to the 20's. Terra Alta Lake is a good spot of common rain; most of the rain falls during July; February on the other hand is the driest. | |

Youghiogheny River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot close by, and a good close by hotel is Wisp Resort.
Dayton Evans Spring is a pretty location to pop by while you're at Terra Alta Lake, and since you're here you can
take a hike along the Canyon Rim Trail. You could also explore Lake Koshare if you're here at Terra Alta Lake; it's nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Canaan Valley is in close proximity to Terra
Alta Lake, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Lindy Run Trail.
If you adore the outdoors, you'll fancy Terra Alta Lake. After a long day outdoors Canaan Valley Resort and Conf Ctr is a wonderful site to spend a night or two; you can take a little spree to Terra Alta Lake Dam while you're here at Terra Alta Lake.
