Summit Lake regularly gets a large amount of precipitation; through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Drift down the rapids of Cherry River - North Fork in a kayak, and if the weather is delightful, you obtain a splendid sight of Hanging Rock from Summit Lake.

called the Fork Mountain Trail, and the Hanging Rock Trail is a delightful hiking trail close by. Near Summit Lake you hit upon the Pocahontas Trail which is a great hiking trail, and Summit Lake is a good place to visit for more
than one day, Cranberry Campground is a good place to camp nearby. You don’t have to go far from Summit Lake to observe the water at Summit Lake Dam. Lakes? Sure, Ceasar Lake is nearby.
