Summertime highs at Summit Lake commonly tend to be in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Summit Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Summit Lake is wonderful       enough to spend more than a day at, Summit Lake Campground is a wonderful local campground, and there is a pleasant hiking trail nearby called the Fork Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something in the neighborhood of Summit Lake? Ceasar Lake is around here, and the panorama of Hanging Rock is pretty. So much fun stuff to do at Summit Lake, so little time. Relax Inn Lewisburg is a delightful place to get some rest, and going for a hike on                  the Pocahontas Trail is always a good adventure. This lake is so wonderful. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Cranberry River, and the scenery at Summit Lake Dam is picturesque. On a nice day at Summit Lake you can take a hike along the Hanging Rock Trail, and there's some flowing water close by, Big Glady Run is a stream you can go to while here. All the water falling down from the sky makes Summit Lake a wet place; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month is February.
