There's so much to do here at Summit Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Summit Lake Campground is a great place for that, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Cherry River - North Fork. This lake is so wonderful. One of the overriding characteristics of the surroundings of Summit Lake is Hanging Rock, and after a long day outdoors Mineral Springs Motel is a       tremendous place to spend a night or two. While you're here at Summit Lake you can take a hike along the Hanging Rock Trail, and let's not forget Big Glady Run which is a stream that you may bump into while here. The high level of rain makes Summit Lake a relatively wet place; July is the month that gets the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Be careful coming to Summit Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again. If the weather                  is perfect here at Summit Lake, you can go for a hike along the Fork Mountain Trail; Summit Lake Dam has magnificent water scenery. This lake is so wonderful. Summit Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Cranberry Campground is a good local campground, and a good place to have a look at nearby is Goose Hollow. The Pocahontas Trail is a delightful hiking trail near Summit Lake, and soar down the rapids of Cranberry River in a kayak. For the duration of the months of summer at Summit Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's; the overnight is fairly chillier of course, ordinarily in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Summit Lake temperatures fall to the 20's.
