Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cherry River - North Fork, and Summit Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit. This lake is so wonderful. Float down the rapids of Cranberry River in a kayak, and let's not forget Big Glady Run which is a stream that you may run into during your stay. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Summit Lake, and the nighttime is a little cooler of course, frequently in the 60's. Through the wintertime highs are frequently in the 40's

| | with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Summit Lake. Stay the night at Summit Lake Campground, and a glorious place to stop at is Goose Hollow.
Just can't get enough of Summit Lake. There's so much to do here at Summit Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Cranberry Campground is a great site for that, and at Summit Lake you can spot Hanging Rock. along the Hanging Rock Trail is glorious fun. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Relax Inn Lewisburg is a glorious choice; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Pocahontas Trail.
The high
level of rain makes Summit Lake a pretty wet site; July is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest. Going for a hike along the Fork Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and Summit Lake Dam is not far at all from Summit Lake.
