At Summersville Lake during the long summer days highs are in the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 60's. Highs during the winter are regularly in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Summersville Lake. This lake is so wonderful.       Summersville Dam is not far at all from Summersville Lake, and since you're here at Summersville Lake, checking out Rucker Bend is a must. Camping at Summersville Lake Retreat is always a great experience, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Summersville Lake Motor Lodge is a perfect place to spend a night or two. A good place to camp here at Summersville Lake is Mountain Lake Campground; the Carnifex Trail offers hiking at its best. Summersville                  Lake generally gets a great deal of precipitation; July is the month that gets the most rain while February is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. You have to visit Long Point when you're here at Summersville Lake, and hey, Battle Run is a wonderful local stream. And that's not all you can do here at Summersville Lake. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Gauley River, and Summersville Lake is right by the Way Back Trail.
