Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Little Kanawha River; some nearby water includes Beechlick Run. This location is peerless, just check out all the enjoyable things to do near Stonecoal Reservoir. While you're here at Stonecoal Reservoir, you could also visit lovely Jacksons Mill Lake; there are great places to explore along the Salt Lick Trail. This lake is so wonderful.       Stonecoal Creek Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out, and if you're dropping by from Clarksburg, you won't be the only one. For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs regularly are in the 80's at Stonecoal Reservoir, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's while Stonecoal Reservoir overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. Stonecoal Reservoir is a tremendous location to visit for more than one day, Wilderness waterpark and Camp is a tremendous location to camp nearby; do have a look at Bendale Lake, it's a charming lake.
