This lake is so wonderful. Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Beckley is a nice location to get some rest; Saddlebred Golf Club is a perfect golf course nearby. Chestnut Flat Mountain can be seen from Stephens Lake, and you'll meet a lot of people from Beckley here. This lake is so wonderful. A good nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites BECKLEY,       and get drenched paddling on Big Coal River - Marsh Fork. A splendid spot to camp here at Stephens Lake is Lake Stephens, and do stop at Stephens Lake, it's a wonderful lake. An interesting thing to pop by in the vicinity of Stephens Lake is Lake Stephens Dam; whitewater paddling is fine on Sandlick Creek. Stephens Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July; the driest month is October. The snow is delightful at                  Winterplace. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Stephens Lake, and the night is fairly colder of course, frequently in the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Stephens Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area close to Stephens Lake has to offer.
