All the water falling down from the sky makes Spruce Knob Lake a wet place; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. You might want to pay a visit to Lafe Hedrick Hollow since you're here at Spruce Knob Lake, and don't leave Spruce Knob Lake without first going for a hike along the Big Run Trail. Whohoo,       so many fun things in one place! Spruce Knob Lake is excellent! There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Gandy Creek, and Spruce Knob Lake Dam has great water scenery. There's good hiking along the North Fork Big Run Trail, and Spruce Knob Lake is a good location to visit for more than one day, Spruce Knob Lake Campground is a good location to camp nearby. There's whitewater on Big Run River for all you adrenaline people. You'll need more than a day                  to look at everything Spruce Knob Lake has to offer, you can camp at Gatewood Group Campground. At Spruce Knob Lake during the warm months highs are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Spruce Knob Lake plunge into the 10's.
