Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Slagle Impoundment while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Slagle Impoundment. Slagle Impoundment sees pretty high levels of precipitation; through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is October. Slagle Impoundment       is next to Big Lick Branch Dams Dam which is a lovely site absolutely worth checking out, and get drenched paddling on Little Huff Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Rocky Poplar Hollow is next to Slagle Impoundment and is absolutely a wonderful location to visit, and needless to say Johnnycake Branch is a scenic stream that is worth stopping at. Camping is available at Paradise Island Of Christian; get yourself into a kayak and hit Big Sandy River - Tug Fork.
