A visit to Silver Lake is always a good idea. During the summertime, highs usually are in the 80's at Silver Lake. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's while Silver Lake night low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. A pleasant location to camp here at Silver Lake is Blackwater Lodge, and Silver Lake is right by the Plantation Trail. What would winter be without some skiing at Canaan

This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Wisp Resort is a great choice, and it's a perfect idea to check out Sand Spring Run. Why not camp at Blackwater Falls Campground since you're here at Silver Lake, and the Boundary Trail offers hiking at its best. Silver Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; during July this area sees the most rain; the driest month is October.

lovely scenery and nice skiing is what you get at Timberline; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Blackwater River. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff at
Silver Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Lindy Run Trail, and here at Silver Lake you can catch a sight of Hoye-Crest.
This lake is so wonderful. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Blackwater River - North
Fork, and after a long day outdoors Canaan Valley Resort and Conf Ctr is a delightful place to spend a night or two.
