The annual rainfall here at Rockcliff Lake is about average; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express WOODSTOCK-SHENANDOAH VALLEY is a nice location to spend a night or two, and do take a hike on the Trout Pond Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Rockcliff Lake Dam has tremendous water scenery and it's       close to Rockcliff Lake. At Rockcliff Lake all through the summer months highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's while Rockcliff Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is good on Lost River, and the panorama of Bens Hill is scenic. This place, Rockcliff Lake, it completely has so much outdoors                  exciting stuff. If you came for an overnight stay Branch Mountain Campground is a good place to camp, and Joseph Sager Spring is a wonderful location to take a look at while you're at Rockcliff Lake. Why not camp at Trout Pond Campground while you're here at Rockcliff Lake, and you can have a glorious hiking adventure along the Tibbet Knob Trail. Trout Pond Run is a stream that you may encounter while here; get dripping wet paddling on Trout Run.
