Rockcliff Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express WOODSTOCK-SHENANDOAH VALLEY is a great choice. Branch Mountain Campground is a pleasant campground nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel Mount Jackson. Summertime highs at Rockcliff Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Trout Run, and if you came for an overnight stay Trout Pond Campground is a glorious site to camp. This lake is so wonderful. If only every location had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great world it would be. Not far from Rockcliff Lake, you'll hit upon Trout Pond which is a wonderful
lake; the slopes of Bryce Resort are so inviting noone can resist. Get soaked paddling on Lost River, and why not go to Rockcliff Lake Dam if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Bens Hill can be spotted from Rockcliff Lake, and
Joseph Sager Spring is a brilliant local attraction.
Rockcliff Lake is a good place of typical precipitation; throughout the month of July you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

Woodstock is an excellent mid summer place to fly fish if not just for the scenery and tranquility of the area. This cold deep reservoir is excellent for catching brookies. Don't be surprised to get chilled if sticking your feet in the water. I fish the reservoir along with the Little Stoney Creek several times during the summer months.
