Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. There's delightful hiking along the Johns Creek Mountain Trail, and if you need a location to stay Four Points By Sheraton is a tremendous choice. Brushy Mountain is clearly visible from Rainbow Pond, and there's whitewater on Second Creek for all you adrenaline people. Rainbow Pond is a splendid place to camp, Greenbrier River Co is a splendid place, and don't leave       Rainbow Pond without first going for a hike along the Virginias Walk Trail. The amount of rainfall that falls at Rainbow Pond is close to the national average; July is the wettest month with most rain; November is the month with the least moisture. Rainbow Pond is a place with many visitors from Blacksburg-Christiansburg-Radford, and Rainbow Pond lays in the shadow of the Potts Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Second Creek Campground,                  and do pop by Bob Branch if you're here at Rainbow Pond. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Mountain Lake Hotel is a good spot to spend a night or two. Throughout the summer at Rainbow Pond temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Rainbow Pond sink into the 10's.
