Marshall E, Lester: I grow up there as a child... cought the biggest carp out of that lake that i had ever seen at that time gilbert news came and inter viewed me and put a picture of me and my fish on the front page...year of 1984 i moved on to tennessee but hopefully my son will get the pleasers of goin back home and fishin that lake!!!

Paddling on Guyandotte River is so much fun, and lakes are such serene places, why not explore Horse Creek Lake. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to R. D. Bailey Lake, and the nighttime is quite colder of course, usually in the 60's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for R. D. Bailey Lake. | | splendid place to camp; Slagle Impoundment is a magnificent lake nearby. If you adore the outdoors, you'll fancy R. D. Bailey Lake. Do schedule some time to visit Joe Point right next door to R. D. Bailey Lake if you have a chance; after a long day outdoors Aracoma Hotel is a great place to spend a night or two. If you desire a little side spree, try Argus Hollow, and R D Bailey Lake Dam is a lovely spot, undeniably worth a visit. This lake is so wonderful. | |
