If you come at the right time of year, Arbuckle Creek offers some perfect whitewater, and Rowland Mine Impoundment is a good lake close by. You'll meet a lot of people from Oak Hill here, and camping is available at Plum Orchard Lake. Throughout the summer here at Plum Orchard Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. All through the winter       this place gets highs in the 40's; nighttime lows at Plum Orchard Lake all through the wintertime regularly descend into the 20's. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Oakhill/New River Gorge, Wv; if you came for an overnight stay Alpine Adventures is a fine location to camp. Plum Orchard Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; July is the month that gets the most rain, and October is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There's                  some interesting stuff to spot at Fayette County Lake Number One Dam near Plum Orchard Lake; a striking lake like Collins Fork Impoundment is a good location to check out. This lake is so wonderful. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Dunloup Creek; at Plum Orchard Lake you can catch a glimpse of Flag Knob. Winterplace is a glorious local ski area, and Days Inn of Mount Hope is a tremendous spot to get some rest. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Plum Orchard Lake.
