This lake is so wonderful. You can take a little spree to Opekiska Lock and Dam since you're here at Opekiska Pool, and there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Deckers Creek. Opekiska Pool is great enough to spend more than a day at, Whisper Mountain Campground is a great local campground. From a rainfall point of view Opekiska Pool is a pretty typical place; all through the month of July you get the most rain       around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. All through the days of summer highs here at Opekiska Pool get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are typically in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Opekiska Pool are in the 10's. Lots of people from Fairmont come to Opekiska Pool, and National Inn is a good site to get some rest. If you go for the outdoors,                  you'll go for Opekiska Pool. Enjoy a round of golf at Paradise Lake Golf Course not far from Opekiska Pool, and don't forget to take a brilliant little spree to Birchfield Run.
