Holiday Inn Express NEWELL is a good location to get some rest, and in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling       on Little Beaver Creek. For you golfers we recommend nearby Mountainr Park Golf Course; Brimstone Run is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out. This lake is so wonderful. New Cumberland Pool is right by the Gretchens Lock Trail, and New Cumberland Lock and Dam is striking. New Cumberland Pool gets a normal amount of yearly rain; July is the wettest month with most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. During your trip                  to New Cumberland Pool you'll meet some folks from Weirton-Steubenville for sure, and after a long day outdoors Baymont Inn & Suites Weirton is a delightful place to spend a night or two. Hiking along the Fishermans Trail is pleasant fun; Tomlison Run State Park is a fine local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Little Beaver Creek. At New Cumberland Pool through the long summer days highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 50's.
