Mount Storm Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Mount Storm Lake. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Mount Storm Lake throughout the wintertime mostly descend into the 10's. It's a fine idea to stop by Laurel Run, it's right next door to Mount Storm Lake; hiking is a popular thing to do around Mount Storm Lake; North Fork Mountain Trail is a pleasant

| | local trail. Timberline has nice slopes and a friendly staff, and Mount Storm Lake is a splendid location to visit for more than one day, Blackwater Lodge is a splendid location to camp nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Mount Storm Lake, you'll locate Stony River Reservoir which is a beautiful lake, and wonderful hiking is available along the Blackbird Knob Trail. Be careful coming to Mount Storm Lake, you might not ever want to return back | |

home again. There's splendid hiking along the Breathed Mountain Trail; you can hit the slopes at Canaan Valley in the neighborhood. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Stony River, and Red
Creek Campground is a glorious local campground.
If you need a site to stay Canaan Valley Resort and Conf Ctr is a delightful choice; Mount Storm Power Station Dam has wonderful water scenery. Mount Storm Lake is a wet place that
gets a good deal of rain; all through July this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
This lake is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate up on the magnificent whitewater of Difficult Creek, and Wisp Resort is a great place to get some rest.
