Mount Storm Lake is a wet place that gets a large amount of precipitation; July is the month that gets the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Mount Storm Lake is in close proximity to Mount Storm Power Station Dam which is a beautiful location beyond doubt worth going to, and you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the       Blackbird Knob Trail. While you're here at Mount Storm Lake you can take a hike along the North Fork Mountain Trail; the snow is glorious at Canaan Valley. This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Stony River, and a pleasant close by hotel is Canaan Valley Resort and Conf Ctr. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do near Mount Storm Lake. After a long day outdoors Wisp Resort is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two,                  and why not camp at Blackwater Lodge if you're here at Mount Storm Lake. A lake nearby is Stony River Reservoir, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Timberline. Mount Storm Lake is not the only spot nearby, Elk Run Reservoir is a nearby lake. Throughout the warm days of summer, highs generally are in the 70's at Mount Storm Lake. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are regularly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Mount Storm Lake are in the 10's. Laurel Run is one of the streams nearby that might be worth going to; going for a hike along the Breathed Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood.
