This lake is so wonderful. The Greenbrier is a wonderful site to get some rest; Moncove Lake Dam is a delightful location. All the outdoors entertaining things near Moncove Lake will keep you coming back over and over. Get your heart beating on the pleasant whitewater of Dunlap Creek, and do take a hike on the Potts Mountain Trail. A great deal of rain falls at Moncove Lake; the       wettest month of the year is generally July, that's the one that rains the most, and January is when it's the driest. Why not camp at Camp Shaw-mi-del-eca since you're here at Moncove Lake, and Moncove Lake is right by the Youngs Nature Trail. For the duration of the warmest time of the year, highs usually are in the 70's at Moncove Lake. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and night lows all through                  the winter for Moncove Lake tend to be in the 10's. Moncove Lake is a nice lake near Moncove Lake, and a perfect place to camp here at Moncove Lake is Steel Bridge Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Johns Creek, and dry warm beds await you at Allstate Motel.
