High temperatures at Moncove Lake during the summer months are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Moncove Lake are in the 10's. A perfect place to camp here at Moncove Lake is Moncove Lake State Park, and you get a wonderful sight of High Head Mountain from here. Hiking along       the Potts Arm Trail is glorious fun. All the water falling down from the sky makes Moncove Lake a wet site; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is January. Just can't get enough of Moncove Lake. The Greenbrier is a splendid site to get some rest, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Johns Creek. This lake is so wonderful.
