There's whitewater on Roaring Creek - Tygart Valley River Tributary for all you adrenaline junkies, and after a long day outdoors Elkins-Days Inn is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.
Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mill Creek Reservoir; Shingle Tree Trail is a great local trail; some close by water includes Laurel Run.
