It's always fun to stop by McCoy Lake. McCoy Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the month with most of the rain is July, and October on the other hand is the driest. Get soaked paddling on Buckhannon River; after a long day outdoors Wingate by Wyndham Bridgeport WV is a tremendous site to spend a night or two. Big Run flows through this area. This lake is so wonderful. Stonecoal Campground is a perfect campground nearby, and Microtel Inn and Suites Bridgeport

| | is a tremendous place to get some rest. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Middle Fork, and Audra State Park is a great local campground. At McCoy Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's while McCoy Lake night low temperatures all through the winter are in the 10's.
