While you're here at Long Branch Lake, you could also stop by pretty Sun Valley Lake, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Standing Branch Horse Trail.
Going for a hike on the Ripple Trail is always a fine adventure, and Pipestem Knob is clearly visible from Long Branch Lake. If you came to camp Bass Lake Park is a brilliant spot to do that, and a perfect nearby hotel is Appalachian

All through the long summer days highs here at Long Branch Lake get into the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and nighttime lows throughout the wintertime for Long Branch Lake tend to be in the 20's.
