This lake is so wonderful. Hillcrest Motel is a great spot to get some rest, and in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Ogle Creek. Jackson River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby, and magnificent hiking is available along the Lake Sherwood Trail. Do check out Lake Sherwood Dam if you're here at Lake Sherwood, and hiking is a popular       thing to do around Lake Sherwood; Upper Meadow Trail is a brilliant local trail. Why not camp at Bolar Mountain Campground since you're here at Lake Sherwood, and after a long day outdoors Roseloe Motel is a great place to spend a night or two. That right there is a load already, but it continues; Lake Sherwood has it all. Dilley Run is a stream that you may come across while here; great skiing awaits you at Snowshoe. All the water falling down from the sky                  makes Lake Sherwood a wet location; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the fine skiing at The Homestead; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Lake Sherwood. Camping at Lake Sherwood is wonderful fun, Pocahontas Picnic And Campground is a wonderful local campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Diley Trail. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Lake Sherwood get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's.
