A fine site to camp here at Lake Sherwood is Pocahontas Picnic And Campground, and hey, Gotta ski right? The Homestead is a tremendous place to do that. Camping at Bolar Mountain Campground is always a good experience, and what would winter be without some skiing at Snowshoe. Lake Sherwood is a nearby lake that you could stop by. If only every place had this much outdoors cool things,       what a great world it would be. Get your pulse rate up on the wonderful whitewater of Back Creek - Jackson Tributary; unsurprisingly Dilley Run flows through this region. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Mountain View is a fine site to get some rest; a lake close by is Lake Moomaw. A good deal of rainfall falls at Lake Sherwood; July is the month that gets the most rain while February is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. The                  scenery at Lake Sherwood Dam close to Lake Sherwood is delightful, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Lake Sherwood Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Ogle Creek; Lake Sherwood is right by the Meadow Creek Mountain Trail. Summertime highs at Lake Sherwood regularly tend to be in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lake Sherwood are in the 10's.
