Lakes are perfect; Lake Sherwood is a lake that's next to Lake Sherwood, and going for a hike on the Upper Meadow Trail is always a pleasant adventure. You can run the rapids of Ogle Creek close to Lake Sherwood, and if you need a site to stay Roseloe Motel is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. Back Creek - Jackson Tributary is a nice whitewater spot right next door to Lake Sherwood, and camping is       available at Pocahontas Picnic And Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Lake Sherwood without first going for a hike along the Meadow Creek Mountain Trail; dry warm beds await you at Hillcrest Motel. The high level of rain makes Lake Sherwood a quite wet site; the month with most of the rain is July while February is usually the driest month. What would winter be without some skiing at The Homestead, and a nice location to camp here at Lake                  Sherwood is Bolar Mountain Campground. And that's not all you can do here at Lake Sherwood. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Snowshoe while you're here, and there are tremendous places to explore along the Lake Sherwood Trail. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Lake Sherwood Dam, and needless to say Dilley Run flows through this vicinity. Summertime highs at Lake Sherwood commonly tend to be in the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
