It's always brilliant to check out McCarty Spring, and if you're here, you might as well go to Booga-Boo Hollow. Lake Sam Hill mostly gets a good deal of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July, and February is the month with the least moisture. Man, is there loads of entertaining things to do near Lake Sam Hill. There's so much to do here at Lake Sam Hill that you need to camp here for a while, Seven Mile Campground       is a perfect site for that, and the slopes of The Homestead are so inviting noone can resist. Lake Sam Hill is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Bird Run Campground is a magnificent local campground. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Lake Sam Hill, and the nighttime is rather colder of course, mostly in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are typically in the 30's while Lake Sam Hill overnight low temperatures all through the winter                  are in the 10's. There's good hiking along the Marlin Mountain Trail, and a quick trip to Little Thorny Creek is without doubt a tremendous idea. Don't leave Lake Sam Hill without first going for a hike along the Hill Top Trail, and there are some good whitewater spots on Greenbrier River. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Covington, Virginia, and from Lake Sam Hill you get a brilliant panorama of The Horse Ridge. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody close by loves skiing at Snowshoe; if you're here, you could also visit charming Seneca Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
