You believe that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. A great spot to camp here at Hyer Lake is Chief Logan State Park, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Logan Inn. Little Coal River. Pond Fork has a glorious whitewater paddling spot nearby; at Hyer Lake you can see Godby Knob. After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Chapmanville is a wonderful place to spend a night or two,       and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Buffalo Creek - Guyandotte Tributary. All the water falling down from the sky makes Hyer Lake a wet location; most of the rain falls throughout July, and October is when it's the driest. Summertime highs at Hyer Lake frequently tend to be in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures                  at Hyer Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Hatfield McCoy Outdoors Campground, and there are other places here than Hyer Lake, for example Peach Creek Impoundment. Barker Fork is a tremendous site to pop by. Lakes?
