The beauty of Hyer Lake is reason enough to stop by. The sight of picturesque Godby Knob near Hyer Lake is glorious, and hey, Barker Fork is a wonderful local stream. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent spot to camp here at Hyer Lake is Paradise Island Of Christian, and there's whitewater on Little Coal River. Pond Fork for all you adrenaline people.
