Horsehead Lake is a lake worth visiting. Horsehead Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Loop Creek, and why not a little side spree to Kuns Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Horsehead Lake is right next door to Union Carbide Lake Number Three Dam which is a pretty location beyond doubt worth visiting;

Beulah Knob can be made out from Horsehead Lake; a fine place to stop by close by is Durham Hollow. High temperatures at Horsehead Lake throughout the summertime are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. Highs throughout the wintertime are ordinarily in the 40's, and nighttime lows through the wintertime for Horsehead Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn Oakhill/New River Gorge, Wv is a splendid place to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Horsehead
Lake that you need to camp here for a while, New River Campground is a splendid site for that, and if you need a site to stay Quality Inn New River is a great choice. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun things just keep
reading. If you came to camp Madd Jack's Campground is a fine site to do that; if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Way Back Trail.
