Be careful coming to Horsehead Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again. A visit to Durham Hollow is always fun, and you can stay the night at Madd Jack's Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such serene locations, why not have a look at Deerpond in close proximity to Horsehead Lake, and if you need a spot to stay Quality Inn New River Gorge is a       good choice. High temperatures at Horsehead Lake through the months of summer are in the 80's while night lows are generally in the 60's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Horsehead Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Loop Creek, and if you come at the right time of year, Armstrong Creek offers some good whitewater. Horsehead Lake is close to Union                  Carbide Lake Number Three Dam which is a charming spot undeniably worth going to, and Holiday Inn OAK HILL-NEW RIVER GORGE is a tremendous spot to get some rest. Horsehead Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July, and February is the month with the least moisture.
