Through the warmest time of the year, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Henderson Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Henderson Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Henderson Lake is not far at all from Oak Hill. You'll need more than a day to discover everything       Henderson Lake has to offer, you can camp at Madd Jack's Campground. Henderson Dam is a place that is in the vicinity of Henderson Lake, and Holiday Inn Oakhill/New River Gorge, Wv is a great spot to get some rest. Going for a hike along the Carnifex Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; if you need a site to stay Quality Inn New River is a good choice. Have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Way Back Trail; whitewater paddling                  is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Gauley River. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Big Hollow is a magnificent location to check out in close proximity to Henderson Lake; Henderson Lake is a perfect location to visit for more than one day, New River Campground is a perfect location to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Take a little spree to Adonijah Fork if you're here at Henderson Lake; get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of Buffalo Creek - Elk Tributary.
