Through the summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Harts Pond with nighttime lows in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Harts Pond temperatures descend to the 10's. Harts Pond is a wet site that gets a good deal of rainfall;       July is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is October. There's some flowing water close by, Big Branch is a stream you can go to while here, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Logan Inn is a fine location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant place to stop by right next door to Harts Pond is Offard Hollow, and if you need a spot to stay Rodeway Inn Chapmanville is a nice choice. Man, is there                  loads of fun things to do in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Lakes? Sure, Mud Fork Impoundment is around here; why not camp at Cabwaylingo State Forest since you're here at Harts Pond. Harts Pond is located in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains.
