This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. For you golfers we recommend nearby Meadow Ponds Golf Course, and after a long day outdoors Fairmont, West Virginia Travelodge is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Green Lakes is not far at all from Fairmont, and       if you need a location to stay Holiday Inn FAIRMONT is a good choice. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Tygart Valley River, and Dogwood Lakes is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. An average amount of precipitation falls at Green Lakes; through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. Summertime highs at Green Lakes usually tend to be in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures                  sink down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's while Green Lakes night low temperatures all through the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Green Lakes, you could also visit beautiful Eastern Gas and Fuel Lake, and don't forget to take a glorious little spree to Arnett Run.
