If you are traveling by, why not stop by Deerpond. Kuns Branch is a pleasant local stream, and Deerpond is a spot with many visitors from Oak Hill. There's whitewater on Gauley River for all you adrenaline junkies, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Way Back Trail. So much amusing stuff next to Deerpond, clearly fantastic. Lots of rainfall falls at Deerpond; through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. From Deerpond you obtain a delightful sight of Beulah Knob. If you need a place to stay Quality Inn New River is a perfect choice, as expected you could also take a look at Orchard Lake if you're here; it's not far at all.

worth stopping at, and a pleasant location to camp here at Deerpond is New River Campground. High temperatures at Deerpond through the warm days of summer are in the 80's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime
highs through the wintertime are in the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Deerpond fall into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Madd Jack's Campground, and Holiday Inn Oakhill/New River Gorge, Wv is a brilliant location to get some rest.
