A visit to Deegan Lake is always a good idea. Deegan Lake is a wet place that gets much rain; July is when you get the most rain here; February on the other hand is the driest. If only every place had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great earth it would be. Tygart Valley River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby, and do pop by Ann Run since you're here at Deegan Lake. Through the summer months at Deegan Lake highs are commonly in the 80's,

| | and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 10's for Deegan Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Bridgeport Knights Inn is a great place to get some rest. A wonderful place to camp here at Deegan Lake is Tygart Lake State Park, and Bridgeport Water Supply Lake is a tremendous lake close by. why not camp at Tygart River Camping Area while you're here at Deegan Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. The scenery at Deegan Lake Dam near Deegan Lake is beautiful, and after a long day outdoors Travelodge Of Bridgeport is a great
site to spend a night or two. There are other sites here than Deegan Lake, for example Hinkel Lake, and James Nichols Spring is always fun to check out. Deegan Lake is not far at all from Clarksburg, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Buckhannon River.

I have an uncle that stil lives on Buffalo Rd and I was told that the lake was sold to a private party. It's all grown over parking and buildings are almost gone.... |

In the 1939's my grandfather built the first cabin on Rock Lake. He built a log cabin form the trees cut down to form the lake. The cabin was called Shamrock Shanty. I caught my first at Rock Lake and learned how to row a boat. The cabin has been torn down, but I will never forget the good times my family had there....
