This lake is so wonderful. At Cool Lake you always meet someone from Charleston, and Cool Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Kanawha State Forest is a delightful local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water nearby flows, like Kelly Branch, and       a lovely lake like Lake Dinty Moore is a great spot to visit. This place, Cool Lake, it completely has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Charleston East, and an afternoon playing golf at Coonskin Golf Course is always a joy. For the duration of the warm days of summer here at Cool Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's, and the nighttime is a tad colder of course, typically in the 60's. The wintertime brings                  highs down to the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Cool Lake. There's so much to do here at Cool Lake that you need to camp here for a while, New River Campground is a great location for that, and you acquire a splendid vista of Malden Mountain from here. The amount of rainfall that falls at Cool Lake is close to the national average; throughout the month of July you get the most rain around here; February is when it's the driest. Get your heart beating on the brilliant whitewater of Armstrong Creek, and do visit Big Mountain Slurry Pond, it's a striking lake.
