Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Big Coal River - Clear Fork, and the summit of Malden Mountain can be distinguished from Cool Lake. There's whitewater on Armstrong Creek for all you adrenaline kick people. Summertime highs at Cool Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
