Coal Run is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Bridge Haven Golf Club not far from Coal Run; why not camp at New River Gorge Campground since you're here at Coal Run. People from Oak Hill love to come to Coal Run; Chestnut Flat is a picturesque place any time of year. A good location to camp here at Coal Run is Cooter's Cabins and Campin, and Coal Run Number Two Dam is scenic. So much fun stuff to do at Coal Run, so

| | little time. Coal Run is a wet site that gets a good deal of rainfall; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is February. Just can't get enough of Coal Run. Hawk Lake is a nice lake close to Coal Run; do stop at Rush Run if you're here at Coal Run. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay New River Inn is a good choice, and a visit to Bluestone National Scenic River is recommended. Get soaked paddling | |

on New River, and a picturesque lake like Plum Orchard Lake is a good location to stop by. Go for a hike on the Way Back Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Keeney's Creek. Through the summertime months highs here at
Coal Run get into the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Coal Run dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. There are brilliant spots to explore along the Carnifex Trail, and Quality Inn New River is a fine site to get some rest.
