It's always fun to stop by Coal Run. Coal Run is a location with many visitors from Oak Hill; dry warm beds await you at New River Inn. This lake is so wonderful. There's some interesting stuff to catch a glimpse of at Coal Run Number Two Dam in the neighborhood of Coal Run, and Keeney's Creek has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby.
If you need a place to stay Quality Inn New River is a nice choice, and you ought to without doubt dedicate some time

| | to Chestnut Flat since you're here at Coal Run. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Coal Run has to offer, you can camp at Cooter's Cabins and Campin, and do take a hike on the Way Back Trail. There's so much to do here at Coal Run that you need to camp here for a while, New River Gorge Campground is a great location for that, and while you're here you can play some golf at Bridge Haven Golf Club.

Scenic River is a wonderful local destination here at Coal Run, and if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on New River. For the period of the summer at Coal Run temperatures are mostly
in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Coal Run. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a
great time here at Coal Run. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Carnifex Trail, and swing by Rush Run it's a perfect site to pop by.
Coal Run is a wet spot that gets a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month of the year is February.
