Through the warm days of summer here at Cacapon Lake, high temperatures usually get into the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Cacapon Lake temperatures descend to the 10's. This lake       is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Cacapon Hideaway is a brilliant location to camp; Cacapon Lake is not the only spot close by, Bills Pond is a close by lake. You can run the rapids of Back Creek - Potomac Tributary in the vicinity of Cacapon Lake; going                  for a hike along the Heifer Lick Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.
