Cacapon Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Going for a hike along the Gabriel Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and glide down the rapids of Sideling Hill Creek in a kayak. Cacapon Lake gets a common amount of yearly rainfall; all through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Tri-lake Park.

get yourself into a kayak and hit Back Creek - Potomac Tributary. Very magnificent water scenery is available at Cacapon New Water Supply Dam close to Cacapon Lake. There's so much to do here at Cacapon Lake that you need to camp
here for a while, Log Cabin Campground is a fine spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Old Romney Grade is nice fun; don't forget to take a wonderful little tour to South Fork Indian Run.
