If you like lakes and you're in this part of West Virginia you can check out Buffalo Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you fancy a little side trip, try Toolbox Hollow, and the top of Fork Mountain is easily distinguished from Buffalo Lake. The high level of rain makes Buffalo Lake a pretty wet place; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Buffalo Fork Dam is worth taking a look at while you're here;

the summertime months highs here at Buffalo Lake reach the 80's while night lows are typically in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Buffalo Lake. This
is no spot for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. On a perfect day at Buffalo Lake you can take a hike along the Locust Spring Run Trail, and there's whitewater on Little River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. This lake is so wonderful.
