     Brandywine Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Brandywine Lake; Road Run Trail is a tremendous local trail, and a perfect close by hotel is Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Harrisonburg, VA. Brandywine Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. Cowger Mountain is easy to spot from Brandywine Lake; if you came to camp Cave Country Camping Area is a tremendous place to do that. This lake is so wonderful.  
   A good place for whitewater paddling near Brandywine Lake is Potomac River - South Branch, and Brandywine Lake is right by the Bother Ridge Trail.
Summertime at Brandywine Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's. During the wintertime highs are mostly in the 40's with temperatures at Brandywine Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. In case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always
 
               go whitewater paddling on Potomac River - South Fork of the South Branch, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Miller Run Trail.
Brandywine Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. Dry River Hollow is a delightful place to pop by close by. There's so much to do here at Brandywine Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bandywine Lake Campground is a splendid place for that.
