Do stop by Bowden Ponds while you're in this part of West Virginia. There are some fine whitewater spots on Little Beaver Creek; you're sure to come across some good folks from Weirton-Steubenville here. All through the warm days of summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Bowden Ponds; the night is slightly colder of course, commonly in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Bowden Ponds are in the 10's.

is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Back Country Campgrounds is a perfect spot to camp, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Little Beaver Creek.

If you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Weirton, Wv is a glorious choice, and don't leave Bowden Ponds without first going for a hike along the Gretchens Lock Trail. A normal amount of rain falls here at Bowden Ponds; July is when
you get the most rain here, and January is when it's the driest.
The peak of Mechling Hill can be seen from Bowden Ponds, and needless to say Alexanders Run flows through this region.
