Throughout the warm days of summer at Bluestone Lake highs are mostly in the 80's, and the nighttime is somewhat cooler of course, frequently in the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are mostly in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Bluestone Lake. A magnificent location to pop by near Bluestone Lake is Fourmile Hollow, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Winterplace is pretty       near. There are some perfect whitewater spots on New River, and Bluestone Country Store and Camp is a great campground here. Just can't get enough of Bluestone Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Madams Creek offers some brilliant whitewater; camping at Bluestone Lake is perfect fun, Bass Lake Park is a perfect local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Bluestone Dam has nice water scenery and it's in close proximity to Bluestone Lake; some nearby                  water includes Beech Run. Dry warm beds await you at Newbrier Lodge Motel. Bluestone Lake usually gets a large amount of rainfall; most of the rain falls during July; February on the other hand is the driest.
